In the spring of 2021 I designed and helped launch the Tsemeta Tribal Forestry informational webpage. Tsemeta is a forest service nursery located in Hoopa, California on a sacred bend in the Trinity River. The nursery has been growing trees for the logging and forestry industry in the area for over 30 years, however until very recently the nursery had been mostly abandoned, with little to no connection with the surrounding tribal community. Seeking consultation from Jonsteen, Tsemeta has filled it's greenhouses once again with over 80,000 Douglas Fir and Ponderosa Pine seedlings, as well as hosting the first annual "vegetable starts giveaway", a way to promote gardening and permaculture to people all across the Hoopa Valley.
