Starlight Express

In the late weeks of August I boarded a train in San Francisco bound for Minnesota, spent a week of eastbound travel aboard the Starlight Express and the Empire Builder.

Potato Harvest

Four years ago, I took an odd job driving a dirt truck during the potato harvest in rural Minnesota. Unexpectedly, an operator left the harvest midway through, and despite zero experience I was promoted to operator position. The grueling two month endeavor was the greatest challenge I'd had in my adult life.
